A cyclops shepherd, he is very protective of his charges, whom he watches with an undying fervor through his single massive eye. Nevertheless, he won't hesitate to use them as projectiles in a pinch; after all, the best defence is a good offence.
The Species, Background, and God choices are all mandatory. You must be worshipping one of the gods listed above before entering Lair, Orc, or Depths, unless this isn't possible in which case you must worship them as soon as you can. Don't do anything to lose your religion, and don't use faded altars (except for challenges when you can follow any god).
Don't wield anything. This means you're limited to unarmed and throwing attacks, but also you can't wield staves or other things for stat bonuses even if you don't plan on hitting enemies with them. Equipping a shield is fine.
Train your Summonings skill to at least 16.
Don't cast any spells with Transmutations, Necromancy, or Conjurations schools, or those that are purely elemental (e.g. Poisonsous Vapours). As an exception you can cast Haunt if you really want it.
Conducts are worth +5 points each, to a maximum of half your score from milestones, rounded down. (So if you achieve 4 milestones (20 points) you can earn up to 10 points from conduct bonuses.) Please indicate which conducts you qualify for when you post your morgue. Small mistakes in following conducts will usually be forgiven.
Don't equip any equipment that grants SInv (see invisible). If you wear-id something with SInv, you must unequip it immediately; make sure you have remove curse on hand. You can still have the See Invisible or Antennae 3 mutations if you're lucky enough to get one.
If you are going to complete this challenge, please enter a note by pressing
typing sinv challenge, preferably when you're about to pick up the Orb of Zot (e.g. when you're likely to win, and unlikely to stop trying for this challenge). If you forget you can still get credit for it, just make sure that you tell me that you didn't enter a note.
Tip: Your ancestor can see invisible creatures, as can Canine Familiar, and many other higher-level summons. Some monsters like Unseen Horrors can be polymorphed fairly easily.
Have your Armour, Dodging and Shields skill below 5 for the entire game. If you use crawl's skill target feature, be aware of the following two bugs:
If you gain a lot of experience from one enemy it is possible for a skill to exceed a set target. You might want to set a target of 4.5 or lower, to have a bit of margin for error, and maybe even don't train those skills if you're about to kill a difficult/high XP enemy like early Sigmund.
If you quaff a potion of experience and meet or exceed a skill target, the skill won't be turned off for training, and you'll need to turn it off manually. (I believe this is fixed in 0.23)
Bonus challenges are worth one star each, similar to banners in Crawl tournaments. Please indicate challenges that you qualify for. Small mistakes will usually be forgiven.
The main way to score points. +5 points each, and can be done in any order. (You don't need to tell me which milestones you achieve.)
